Following are some of the acupressure points to treat back pain:

  • Lower Back Points
  • Stomach Point

  • Knee Back Points
  • Hipbone Points
  • Hand Point
  • Foot Points

1.) Lower back points

The exact location of lower back points is at your waist level between 2nd and 3rd lumbar vertebrae (the bones of your spinal cord). When firm pressure is applied to these acupressure points, it helps heal the pain in the nerve and lower back.

2.) Stomach Point

Although hand point is directly related to the back pain and stiffness, this pressure point can treat your back pain problems only when you lie down. Therefore, first and foremost, you need to lie down on a flat surface. The exact location of this acupressure point lies between your thumb and the index finger. You need to apply firm pressure to this acupressure point for a few seconds and then stop applying the pressure. Again apply pressure and stop. • While sitting
  • While sleeping

Following are the ways to apply pressure to the foot points:

Sitting pose: In this position, the acupressure foot point can be located at the bottom of the foot. First, you need to sit straight on a chair or couch. Your foot should be properly cleaned to make the acupressure point easily discoverable. After that, using the thumb of your hand, you need to massage your foot’s bottom from the toe to heel. To achieve best results, thoroughly massage the region. Here, massaging is pretty similar to applying pressure to the foot points while sitting. It will help relieve back pain problems and also make you feel relax.

Sleeping pose: In this position, the acupressure point can be located in between your big toe and your second toe. First, you have to lie down and make sure your foot is properly cleaned to make the acupressure point easily discoverable. You can find the pressure point right in the middle of your big toe and your second toe. You can apply gentle pressure to these acupressure points to relieve back pain. It will help heal your back pain faster.

You’re advised not to try acupressure for Back Pain on yourself or anyone else if you’re not an expert or you haven’t received proper acupressure training. Always consult your doctor or an acupressure therapist prior to opting for acupressure treatment for back pain.
